What to Expect on your First Chiropractic Appointment.

The very first visit to a chiropractor will take approximately 1 hour. During that time we will take a detailed history of your injury/concern, general health, past injuries and your goals.

The next step is a physical exam. The main goal of this step is to determine the pain generating structure using neurological screens, orthopaedic tests and hands on examination of muscles, joints and soft tissues (ligaments, tendons, etc.).

Once, I have an understanding of your complaint/injury, we will discuss multiple things including: our findings from the test, diagnosis, and the treatment plan. We will also answer any questions you may have.

Finally, in majority of cases you can expect some type of treatment on your first day including advice, education and any manual techniques discussed in your treatment plan.
